About Me

Who am I?

Jeff Walker

I have been programming since age 15. I joined the Explorers Post 725 - Computers, which fostered my interest in the field and taught me to write my first program, which was a basic conversation application. I became exposed to programming languages such as Microsoft Visual Basic and C#, as well as web design languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I co-founded CompCADEMY in 2015, where I served as web admin and a co-instructor for computer programming and web design.

I also founded Sidera Softworks in 2017 when I released my first open source adaptation of the classic dice game Yahtzee!, which is available on GitHub.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Springfield, where I graduated magna cum laude. I work as the System Application Developer for INB, National Association.

I enjoy taking road trips around the country, going camping, and taking long walks with my dog Loki.
